The Vines Community in Estero, FL

The Vines is a country club community located in the city of Estero, less than 30 minutes south of Fort Myers and 30 minutes north of Naples.

Geographically, The Vines is situated on the southwestern coast of Florida, just 3 miles northeast of Estero Bay, and another 3 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Between Estero Bay and the ocean are a series of key islands: Estero Island, Lovers Key, and the Hickory Islands.

The Vines is surrounded by a number of other residential communities, like Osprey Cove and Belle Lago to the south, and the well-established suburbs of San Carlos Park to the north. The main access point to The Vines is off South Tamiami Trail, or Highway 41, via Vintage Parkway. The other minor access point is via Nuthatch Lane near the southern corner of The Vines, also connecting the community to the Walmart Supercenter just beyond its boundaries.

The Vines has an interesting shape as far as planned country club communities go. The entire area looks roughly like a triangle, separated into two parts by a rail line, and skirted most of the way around by Vintage Trace Circle road. There are two enclaves consisting of 5 separate neighborhoods which extend into the center of the two halves of The Vines. Throughout these are a number of winding lakes that provide a scenic accent to the golf course that occupies the majority of the area.

There are a number of small community areas distributed throughout The Vines, but the main clubhouse is located at the southeastern edge.

Silver Oak consists of narrow single-family homes, while its neighbor Lost Creek consists of attached villas, four units to a residence.
